New Background for Jewelry Photography (An Ode To Old Wood?)

Ever since I’ve open my handmade jewelry shop on Etsy last Autumn, I’ve been struggling with finding the perfect background for my jewelry photos. And I’m still searching, but today I want to share some of my old favorites and a new easy to make painted wood background.

Winter Berries and Wild Bird Attack

Today I want to share with you some awesome pictures from a wild bird attack on our rather awfully urban living area. The sight was extremely unusual and totally enchanting, and it left a lasting vivid impression in my memory. It was the only time in my life that I saw such a huge flock of wild birds literally attacking a teeny tiny rowan tree in the middle of the parking lot.. and leaving it bare minutes later.

Today I’m posting some of my dragonfly macro shots from past summers. Not the easiest subject to photograph but they can be quite friendly. Those beasts are shy but also very curious and territorial.
