I love playing with colors and creating / crafting polymer clay beads, not so much – finishing them, and it seems I totally cannot come around to using them in my designs recently. So after hoarding saving them for over a year, I’ve decided to go ahead and offer these beads for sale in my Etsy shop.
So here’s the line up of my theoretically homeless handmade polymer clay beads (clicking on photo will take you to the Etsy listing):
All these beads are natural polymer clay (as much as poly can be “natural”..), with no varnish used to add gloss. For some reason I feel that using varnish equals to cheating sometimes. And I do love the gentle soft sheen of the well finished and buffed polymer clay. It does take time, and some damaged fingers, but it’s well worth the effort me thinks. Btw, if you have tips how to avoid damaging skin while sanding polymer clay beads – please share!
All beads are made using German Fimo brand polymer clay – it is most readily available here. And I do use both “soft” and “classic” lines of Fimo.
